The End

Flames to dust, lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end?

Nelly Furtado : All Good Things (Come To An End)

With any beginning, there must come an ending. I guess the time has come to end this little blog of mine here. It's truly been a most unexpected experience. I've said more things here than I would normally say in person. I've found a great community and even made a wonderful friend. I made a public resolve to abstain from cigarettes and I'm still keeping away. And never had I thought I would end up being a proud owner of a pair of much-coveted pieces of fine craftmanship. All in all, I've watched myself grow (just a little, but still measurable) over the last 1.75 years I've been blogging here.

And I'm looking forward to seeing myself grow even more in the time to come.

The thing is, as much as I've enjoyed the 'indivuality' of being on board blogspirit, I've now outgrown them. Or rather, the free service they've been providing has kind of gone down in quality, leaving me in sort of a rut. I've felt this way for a while now, but have never found any satisfactory replacement for the service.

Then along came Beta. I've been test running it for the past few weeks. I must say it does not actually give me some of the finer features I have here (like built-in stat counter - which I don't use; or the comments editor - which is useful for the rare times you need to practice censorship). And there are other minor kinks which I've yet to iron out (ironing, not being one of my top skills). But what the heck. Beta more than makes up for it by providing tonnes of connectivity and third party service support.

Well, this is it, then - Drowned Glass is coming to a halt with its 240th and final post. But my new blog's up ready to go. So, people, listen up! Get your asses over for a little blogwarming at:

Thanks, everyone. For reading, for commenting, and most of all, for the fraternity and support. I know it's a damn inconvenience but... update your links!

I'll be seeing you on the other side ;)

Closing time - time for you to go out, go out into the world.
Closing time - turn the lights up over every boy and every girl.
Closing time - one last call for alcohol, so finish your whiskey or beer.
Closing time - you don't have to go home but you can't stay here.

I know who I want to take me home.
I know who I want to take me home.
I know who I want to take me home.
Take me home...

Another Community Message

To all the good people of Ipoh and Penang...

Keep your boys locked in at home.
Don't let them out if you value their well-being.
Keep them away from the windows and under supervision at all times.

Cos I'm heading your way for the next several days.

Flavours

Apparently I'm sweet. Not my own opinion of course, but that of others, and sanctioned by no less than the resident ant colony in my office. And I've yet to hear the end of it.

Seriously, I'm beginning to think I need to get myself checked to see if I actually sweat sugar water. Humph.

Hmmm... wonder what would it be like if I were to be blatantly bitter. I'm sure it'd make for some pretty interesting blogging.

:P

Pizza Vs Pizza

It was a pleasant, albeit cheesy, Saturday.

For lunch, I shared a Triple Chicken Cheesy Bites Pizza with a really nice guy, while we bitched about boys and apartments. It was the first time I tried it (the pizza, not the bitching). It was really yummy.

For dinner, I shared a Triple Chicken Cheesy Bites Pizza with a different (but also nice) guy, as we watched dvds. It wasn't the first time I tried it (neither the pizza nor the watching, quite obviously), though I politely refrained from mentioning my lunch to this fellow. It was still really yummy.

Sigh. I have slutted. Now I have to endure punishment by fat gain :(
